Tuesday just wasn't the day for Riverheads's offense. They came up short against the Alleghany Mountaineers on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Gladiators' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Riverheads' defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Alleghany, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Riverheads will be playing in front of their home fans against Staunton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Storm have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.84 runs per game on average), something the Gladiators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Alleghany, they will challenge Fort Defiance at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
