Tallahassee star picks Tigers over hometown Seminoles, Texas A&M.

Regarded as the No. 8 safety in high school football's Class of 2021, Ahmari Harvey of Florida State University High School (Tallahassee, Fla.) announced Friday on CBS HQ his commitment to Auburn. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder finished his junior season with nearly 100 tackles and a team-high six interceptions.

The 4-star defensive back was selected to the Florida preseason all-state first team and returned half of his interceptions in 2019 for scores. He chose the Tigers over Florida State and Texas A&M.

He's been a playmaker since he stepped on the gridiron during his freshman season. He led the Seminoles in tackles (94) and interceptions (5) and answered that with a 122-tackle, two-interception sophomore campaign.

The 14th commit in Auburn's Class of 2021, Harvey helped University to the 3A championship game last year and has helped the program reach the state semifinals in each of the past three seasons.
