Video: Jacorey Brooks highlights
Watch the Alabama-bound receiver in action last season.
To say new IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) head football coach Bobby Acosta has some good parts to work with would be a vast understatement.
Entering its eight season, the independent school which attracts top-end talent throughout the country, landed four on the first team offense alone which should be good news for Acosta. He was the offensive coordinator at Minnesota's College of St. Scholastica last season when the team set school records for points and average yards per game.
With quarterback J.J. McCarthy — an Illinois transfer — and wide receiver Jacorey Brooks, a pair of 5-star recruits, along with two offensive linemen, all on the first team, Acosta's team should be able to move the ball easily through the air. With two second-team running backs, IMG should also be able to control the ball on the ground as well.
Three other nationally ranked squads — No. 21 Central (Miami), No. 14 Northwestern (Miami) and No. 6 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) — were also well represented with four players each on the two squads.
With an abundance of talented wide receivers in Florida — eight rated from the nation's Top 50 seniors according to 247Sports — three each were selected to the first two teams.
