Basketball Recap: Nebraska Lutheran Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Nebraska Lutheran, but Samantha Hueske wouldn't allow it. The Nebraska Lutheran Knights walked away with a 54-44 win over the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles on Thursday thanks in part to Hueske, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Campbell Bohling, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds. Lexie Johnson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Nebraska Lutheran and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Nebraska Lutheran will challenge East Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they will face off against Lewiston at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
