Football Recap: Farmington Comes Up Short

Farmington faced Cleveland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Scorpions took a blow against the Storm, falling 49-3. The contest marked the Scorpions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Rock Kalcich threw for 27 yards on five of eight attempts.

Jordan Hatch was his usual excellent self, throwing for 235 yards and four touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes for Cleveland. Darius Steverson was Hatch's top target, picking up 55 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Farmington's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cleveland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Farmington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 29-7 defeat against Volcano Vista on the 10th. As for Cleveland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-6 win against Cibola on the 10th.
