Mammoth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 32-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trona Tornadoes. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-46 two weeks ago.
Mammoth lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Esme Carrillo, who posted nine points. That was a full 36% of Mammoth's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Julianne Bassler was another key player, putting up six points.
Trona's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Treasure McBath, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 21 boards.
