Basketball Recap: Hercules Takes a Loss

Hercules was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Kennedy Eagles, falling 68-21. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1282nd, while the Eagles are ranked 564th).

Kennedy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amyira Shaw out in front who posted 20 points. Shaw's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. Ne'Ari Washington was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Hercules' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Kennedy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Vallejo the next time they take the court. Kennedy will head out to face Vallejo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hercules will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
