Basketball Recap: Katella Takes a Loss

Katella suffered their biggest defeat since January 16, 2024 on Thursday. They were beaten by the Tustin Tillers 62-35. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Tillers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Johana Holder continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tustin, going 11 of 20 on her way to 33 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Holder a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Meza, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Katella's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Tustin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Katella will challenge Fullerton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Katella is facing Fullerton at the right time seeing as Fullerton is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Tustin has already played their next game (against Santa Ana), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
