Baseball Game Preview: Eastern Comets vs. Clinton Prairie Gophers

The Eastern Comets will take on the Clinton Prairie Gophers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eastern comes in on four and Clinton Prairie on eight.

Eastern proved they can win big on Monday (they won by nine) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rossville, sneaking past 7-5.

Meanwhile, Clinton Prairie hadn't done well against Delphi Community recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Gophers had just enough and edged out the Oracles 4-3.

Jackson Price was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Clinton Prairie's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Eastern, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.
