Round Valley is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Show Low is on a five-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Saturday, Round Valley got the win against Payson by a conclusive 30-6.

Kage Finch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 111 yards and one TD. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Round Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 299 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Round Valley's defense stepped up as well, laying out Nolan Keeney five times. The heavy lifting was done by Peyton Tucker and Tanner Finch, who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Show Low got themselves on the board against Apache Junction last Friday, but Apache Junction never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 57-0 victory over the Prospectors. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 51-point advantage.
Round Valley better keep an eye on Jett Walker. He was instrumental in Show Low's win, rushing for 108 yards and three scores. Walker is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Kash Perkins was another key player, rushing for seven yards and one TD.
Round Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Show Low, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.
Everything went Round Valley's way against Show Low in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Round Valley made off with a 41-15 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Walker, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
