Northside has gone a perfect 6-0 against Griffin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Northside Patriots will look to defend their home field against the Griffin Bears at 5:30 p.m. Northside's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Griffin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Northside was handed a seven-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Piedmont 5-3. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Cayden Clay, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Griffin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 15-0 to Starr's Mill.

Northside is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. Griffin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything went Northside's way against Griffin when the teams last played back in March of 2022, as Northside made off with an 11-1 victory. Does Northside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Griffin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
