Head-Royce is 8-1 against Athenian since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Head-Royce Jayhawks will host the Athenian Owls at 3:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Head-Royce comes in on six and Athenian on three.

Head-Royce is returning to their home pitch after beating Bentley on theirs, despite the fact Bentley has dominated at home this season. Head-Royce blew past Bentley 7-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Jayhawks, who have now won 11 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Athenian kept a clean sheet against St. Joseph Notre Dame on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Pilots. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Owls were the better team in the second half.

They hit St. Joseph Notre Dame with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Flo Bianchi (2), Caitlin Landrum, Riley Walter, and Mina Katzev.

Head-Royce pushed their record up to 16-0-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Athenian, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-1.

Head-Royce beat Athenian 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Head-Royce repeat their success, or does Athenian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
