Soccer Game Preview: North Monterey County vs. Rancho San Juan

The North Monterey County Condors will challenge the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Monterey County will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

North Monterey County is returning to their home pitch after beating St. Francis on theirs, despite the fact St. Francis has dominated at home this season. North Monterey County was the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over St. Francis on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Condors, who have now won ten games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Rancho San Juan rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pirates, sneaking past 2-1. The Trailblazers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Karina Vargas was the driving force of Rancho San Juan's attack as she scored both of Rancho San Juan's goals, bringing her season total up to nine goals.

Rancho San Juan's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for North Monterey County, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

North Monterey County came out on top in a nail-biter against Rancho San Juan in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will North Monterey County repeat their success, or does Rancho San Juan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
