Brawley hadn't done well against Calexico recently (they were 1-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Brawley Wildcats never let the Calexico Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The Wildcats' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sophia Flores, who's now up to five this season.

Brawley is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those 13 games. Calexico's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.
