Soccer Game Preview: Jasper County vs. Putnam County

Jasper County is 0-8 against Putnam County since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Jasper County Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Putnam County War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Jasper County's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Jones County as Jasper County made off with a 7-0 win. It was an even better day for Brayan Solis Velazquez as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Putnam County got the win against Northeast on Thursday by a conclusive 10-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the War Eagles.

Putnam County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Jasper County, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Jasper County might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Putnam County when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can Jasper County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
