Basketball Recap: Mira Monte Wins Going Away Against Del Oro

Mira Monte won the last time they faced Del Oro and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mira Monte Lions blew past the Del Oro Suns 38-18. The Lions didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Del Oro lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ke'Mani Welch, who posted seven points.

Mira Monte's win bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Del Oro, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Mira Monte will host Arvin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Del Oro, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (East Bakersfield has three straight victories, Del Oro has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
