Basketball Recap: Plattsburgh Comes Up Short

Plattsburgh lost against Peru back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets were beaten by the Nighthawks 68-38.

Reese Duprey was a one-woman wrecking crew For Peru. as she dropped a double-double with 28 points and 13 boards. The matchup was Duprey's ninth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Violet Berry, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds.

Plattsburgh's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Peru, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plattsburgh will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ogdensburg Free Academy at 12:45 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Peru, they will venture away from home to square off against Northeastern Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
