Soccer Recap: Johansen Takes a Loss

Johansen was the 2-1 winner over Beyer when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Johansen Vikings fell 2-0 to the Beyer Patriots on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Patriots are ranked 91st).

Johansen's loss dropped their record down to 3-2-2. As for Beyer, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johansen will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hughson at 3:30 p.m. on December 30th. As for Beyer, they will be home for the holidays to greet Livingston at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
