The Adams Central Flying Jets will take on the South Adams Starfires at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
On Monday, Adams Central came up short against Norwell and fell 3-1.
The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 14-25, 25-17.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jencee Foster, who had 18 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Pruitt, who had six digs and three aces.
Meanwhile, South Adams also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Woodlan by a score of 3-1. The Starfires have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
While South Adams had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22.
Adams Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for South Adams, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.
