Rece Hoyt Delivers Electric Performance Vs Sherman

Rece Hoyt was instrumental in extending Lone Star's winning streak to seven on Friday. Hoyt was unstoppable, rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 156 yards and a touchdown while completing 86.4% of his passes.

Lone Star pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Hoyt and Lone Star will challenge Wakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Adam Schmid Delivers Best Effort of Season

Sadly, Adam Schmid posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Centennial over Reedy on Thursday. Schmid threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 50 yards.

Centennial is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. Schmid and Centennial will venture away from home to challenge McKinney North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Hudson Eidem Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Lebanon Trail came up short on Friday despite Hudson Eidem delivering his best game to date. Eidem rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. Lebanon Trail is 2-1 when Eidem posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

For the year, Eidem has averaged 19 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 30.14 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 91.71 rushing yards.

Hooper Made His Presence Known in Heritage's 42-24 Victory

Vincent Hooper posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards.

This year, Hooper has averaged 63.6 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 35.57 receiving yards per game.

Bingham Buckley Turns in Season-Best Effort

Centennial came up short on Thursday despite Bingham Buckley delivering his best game to date. Buckley wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss). The contest was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles.

On the year, Buckley has averaged 6.8 total tackles per game and for the season has 3.5 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 1.33 total tackles per game.
