Football Recap: Brookstone's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Brookstone extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They enjoyed a cozy 51-37 victory over the Valwood Valiants. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 39-21 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brookstone got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dillon Terry out in front who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Terry is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Kingston Terry got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Brookstone didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Terry picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

As for Valwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. They were up 17-3 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Several Valiants players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dax Womack, who rushed for nine yards and three scores, and also threw for five yards and one TD. Mason Corbett was another key player, picking up 144 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Looking ahead, Brookstone will square off against Mount Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Valwood, they will face off against Frederica Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
