Soccer Game Preview: Branson vs. Saint Mary's

The Branson Bulls will challenge the Saint Mary's Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Branson's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. Everything went their way against San Marin as Branson made off with a 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulls, who have now won five matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit San Marin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ally Hsieh (2), Julia Myerberg, Anya Sridharan, and Giselle Hernandez.

Meanwhile, Saint Mary's and De Anza's game two weeks ago was close at halftime, but Saint Mary's turned on the heat in the second half with three goals. Saint Mary's blew past De Anza 4-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Saint Mary's has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which somehow still isn't as good as their 5-1-1 record this season. As for Branson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Everything went Branson's way against Saint Mary's in their previous matchup back in January of 2017, as Branson made off with a 3-0 win. Does Branson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Saint Mary's turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
