The Fairview Knights will square off against the Pine Creek Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Fairview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Boulder. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Knights have posted against the Panthers since June 5, 2021.

Jackson Wier made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Tanner Craytor was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Fairview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 13-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Asher Allen, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Fairview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Pine Creek had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Ravens.
Cade Johnson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jake Holm, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Mullis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Fairview's record now sits at 18-7. As for Pine Creek, their record is now 21-4.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fairview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Pine Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .360. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
