Softball Game Preview: Morgan County Bulldogs vs. Lamar County Trojans + Official Tickets

The Morgan County Bulldogs will face off against the Lamar County Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Morgan County 3.1, Lamar County 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Morgan County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Eastside just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Lamar County never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Towers with a sharp 15-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lamar County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Morgan County, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
