Basketball Game Preview: Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns vs. North Pocono Trojans

The Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns will head out on the road to take on the North Pocono Trojans at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-39, which was the final score in Wallenpaupack Area's tilt against Scranton on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Buckhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Knights are ranked 59th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Pocono). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat West Scranton 57-26. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Wallenpaupack Area now has a losing record at 5-6. As for North Pocono, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Wallenpaupack Area was able to grind out a solid win over North Pocono in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 52-41. Does Wallenpaupack Area have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Pocono turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
