Recap: Farmersville Aztecs vs. Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves
In what's become a running theme this season, the Farmersville Aztecs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 75-16 victory over Wonderful College Prep Academy at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-14.
Farmersville was led to victory by Janessa Garza and Jazmaine Stewart. Garza scored 17 points along with nine steals and two blocks, while Stewart dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 steals. That's the first time this season that Garza posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Leila Juarez, who scored six points along with three steals.
Farmersville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Farmersville will be playing in front of their home fans against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Summit Charter Collegiate Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Corcoran at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Corcoran will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
