Soccer Game Preview: Fontana vs. Santa Rosa Academy

The Fontana Steelers will take on the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Fontana's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Santa Rosa Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Fontana is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Calvary Chapel. The result kept the Steelers happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 17th.

Meanwhile, Santa Rosa Academy waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1.

Jackie Castenada and Chloe Heiner scored all three of Santa Rosa Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Santa Rosa Academy pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matches. As for Fontana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-1 record this season.
