Softball Game Preview: Hebron Christian Eagles vs. Oak Hill Academy Raiders

The Hebron Christian Eagles will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Oak Hill Academy Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Hebron Christian is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They came up short against Oak Hill Academy two weeks ago, falling 10-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

For Oak Hill Academy's part, Mollie Caroline Brand made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, Brand posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in August of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucy Ramsay, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Parker Higginbotham was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
