Recap: Lanesville Eagles vs. Paoli Rams

The Lanesville Eagles put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Paoli 52-36. Given Lanesville's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Paoli is ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Hadley Crosier, who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lanesville's points. Another player making a difference was Ava Kerr, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals.

Jehrico Hopper and Carley Higgins certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Hopper scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds, while Higgins dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Higgins' eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Lanesville's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Paoli, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lanesville will challenge Borden at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Borden is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Paoli, they will head out on the road to face off against Orleans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Orleans focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
