Softball Recap: Douglas County Comes Up Short

Douglas County managed to slip by Regis Jesuit the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Huskies lost 16-6 to the Raiders on Monday. The Huskies' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Reese Bowman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ayal Fulmer, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Douglas County's record is now 7-14. As for Regis Jesuit, their record now sits at 6-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Douglas County will challenge rival Mountain Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Regis Jesuit is set to square off against their familiar foe Heritage at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
