Soccer Game Preview: High Tech CV vs. Sweetwater

The High Tech CV Bruins are taking a road trip to take on the Sweetwater Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. High Tech CV's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

High Tech CV lost 6-1 to Morse on Tuesday. High Tech CV were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Meanwhile, Sweetwater's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Clairemont by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, Sweetwater can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 886th, while Clairemont are ranked 271st).

Alexi Montoya and Natalie Angel scored both of Sweetwater's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for High Tech CV, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

High Tech CV might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Sweetwater in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
