Soccer Game Preview: Cumberland vs. Portsmouth

The Cumberland Clippers will head out to challenge the Portsmouth Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Cumberland's victory against North Smithfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Clippers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Northmen 3-2. Donovan Calle had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Cumberland.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 3-1. That's two games straight that Portsmouth have won by exactly two goals.

Cumberland's record is now 12-4-3. As for Portsmouth, their record now sits at 5-10-2.
