Basketball Recap: Aliso Niguel Takes a Loss

Aliso Niguel lost against San Clemente back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Aliso Niguel Wolverines were dealt a 72-28 defeat at the hands of the San Clemente Tritons. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while the Tritons are ranked 39th).

Aliso Niguel has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for San Clemente, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aliso Niguel will head out to face off against San Juan Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Clemente, they are taking a road trip to take on Fairmont Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
