Football Recap: C.H. Yoe Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mexia + How To Watch

There's no place like home for C.H. Yoe, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 42-32 victory over the Mexia Black Cats on Friday. The Yoemen's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead C.H. Yoe to victory, but perhaps none more so than De'Marques Lopez-Pinchback, who rushed for 105 yards and one TD, and also picked up 72 receiving yards and one score. Another passer making a difference was Jacoby Scott, who threw for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Markaveon Boyd and Ja'Darrius Davis certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Boyd rushed for 180 yards and one TD while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, while Davis threw for 262 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Boyd was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards.

C.H. Yoe's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Mexia, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

C.H. Yoe and Mexia will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Yoemen see the field they'll take on McGregor at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Mexia, their break will end when they face Groesbeck at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
