Recap: York County Tech Spartans vs. Millersburg Indians
If the York County Tech Spartans were feeling good off their 50-28 takedown of the Newport Buffaloes last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. York County Tech's tough 69-47 loss to Millersburg on Saturday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, York County Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 573rd, while Millersburg is ranked 204th).
York County Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Le'Icessess Harrison, who scored 16 points along with three steals, and Anna Foster who scored 17 points. That was a full 34% of York County Tech's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
York County Tech's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-11. As for Millersburg, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York County Tech will square off against Hanover at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Millersburg, they will head out on the road to challenge Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
