Basketball Preview: MMI Preparatory School vs. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams
MMI Preparatory School is 0-6 against the Rams since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. MMI Preparatory School will head out on the road to take on the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams at 6:00 p.m. MMI Preparatory School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Thursday, MMI Preparatory School earned a 47-38 victory over the Hawkeyes. The victory was just what MMI Preparatory School needed coming off of a 52-23 loss in their prior game.
Bria Kringe continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 37 points and nine rebounds. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of MMI Preparatory School's points. Another player making a difference was Cassidy Mcdermott, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, who are still winless after their 16th game. They took a serious blow against Millville on Friday, falling 60-13.
MMI Preparatory School's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with that loss, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season.
MMI Preparatory School and the Rams were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2022, but the came up empty-handed after a 18-17 defeat. Can MMI Preparatory School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
