Softball Recap: Chatfield Comes Up Short

Chatfield lost against Legend back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chargers fell just short of the Titans by a score of 4-3. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jessyca Vargas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Isabella Leech was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Avry Aukland was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run.

Chatfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Legend, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Chatfield will face off against Raymore-Peculiar at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Legend, they will be playing at home against Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
