Football Preview: Patuxent Panthers vs. Huntingtown Hurricanes
Patuxent and Huntingtown are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Patuxent is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 28.8 points per game this season.

Patuxent got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Watson out in front who threw for 254 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes. A healthy portion of Watson's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Xavier Gross.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Patuxent's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Johnathan Edwards with two. Patuxent got some further help from Jaxon Sullivan: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Huntingtown's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against North Point, falling 34-14. The game marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Patuxent will have to contain Gabriel Copeland as he made an impact in Huntingtown's last game. He rushed for 140 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Copeland's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards.
Huntingtown moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Patuxent, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.
