Football Game Preview: Teaneck Highwaymen vs. River Dell Golden Hawks

Teaneck is 0-4 against River Dell since October of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Highwaymen will be playing at home against the Golden Hawks at 6:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Teaneck didn't have quite enough to beat Passaic and fell 32-30. The close contest was extra heartbreaking for the Highwaymen, who almost overcame a 23 point deficit.

Teaneck's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jayden Castro, who rushed for 29 yards and two scores. Castro also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending one pass. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Jonah Flournoy, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, River Dell waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Bears 48-7. 48 seems to be a good number for the Golden Hawks as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

River Dell's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Teaneck, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
