Basketball Recap: Colton Comes Up Short

Colton played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Grand Terrace Titans, falling 51-30. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Grand Terrace's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayla Duran, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jayleen Barajas, who had ten points and three steals.

Colton's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Grand Terrace, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colton will challenge Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Grand Terrace, they will head out to face off against Great Oak at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Great Oak sitting on three straight wins and Grand Terrace on ten.
