Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sylmar walked away with it. They never let the Animo Watts Warriors get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Wednesday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Animo Watts from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Brianna Avina led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Sylmar is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. Animo Watts' loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Sylmar didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Rancho Dominguez on the 21st. Animo Watts does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
