Soccer Game Preview: M.L. King vs. Stephenson

The M.L. King Lions will take on the Stephenson Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. M.L. King has given up an average of 5.3 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

M.L. King lost 5-2 to Stone Mountain last Wednesday. M.L. King have struggled against Stone Mountain recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Obedi Bahombwa wasn't going to let Stone Mountain walk away unscathed as he scored both of M.L. King's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Stephenson made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lithonia last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Stephenson's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for M.L. King, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

M.L. King might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Stephenson in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
