Thoreau waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They claimed a resounding 46-0 victory over the Santa Fe Indian Braves. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Thoreau got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Woody out in front who threw for 259 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. Irvin Tom was in the mix as well, providing the Hawks with two touchdowns.

Thoreau didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Isaac Charley led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself.

Thoreau's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Santa Fe Indian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Thoreau will face off against Zuni at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will be up against the Thunderbirds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Santa Fe Indian, they will take on Pojoaque Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
