It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Grand Ledge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils. The win was nothing new for the Comets as they're now sitting on three straight.
Tyler Terranova was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Braeden McDaniels, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Grand Ledge's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Grosse Pointe South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-13.
Coming up, Grand Ledge will take on Lansing Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grosse Pointe South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Adams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
