Baseball Recap: Kennesaw Mountain Comes Up Short

Kennesaw Mountain suffered their biggest loss since March 3rd on Wednesday. They came up short against the Villa Rica Wildcats, falling 12-1. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Kennesaw Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samik Raina, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Kennesaw Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Villa Rica, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Kennesaw Mountain will head out to square off against South Paulding at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. South Paulding's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Kennesaw Mountain's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Villa Rica, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Villa Rica Wildcats challenge Alexander Cougars at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. Alexander will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Villa Rica surely won't give up without a fight.
