Basketball Game Preview: Antelope Valley Antelopes vs. Palmdale Falcons

Antelope Valley and Palmdale are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Antelope Valley Antelopes will venture away from home to challenge the Palmdale Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Antelope Valley has nine straight wins, Palmdale has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Antelope Valley will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Eastside, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Antelope Valley walked away with a 62-55 victory over Eastside on Thursday.

Antelope Valley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Niya Price, who posted 27 points, and Ariana Soil, who had 23 points. Soil is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last 30 games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Palmdale faced off against Knight on Thursday. Palmdale had to suffer through a 52-18 loss at the hands of Knight.

Antelope Valley pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Palmdale, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Everything came up roses for Antelope Valley against Palmdale in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 65-15 victory. In that contest, Antelope Valley amassed a halftime lead of 36-4, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
