Softball Recap: Heritage Eagles vs. Highlands Ranch Falcons

It was a Battle of the Birds when Heritage faced off against Highlands Ranch on Wednesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 16-7 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Macie Wilson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Caitlin Chamaty was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August. Bleu Meyer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
