Preview: Coalinga Horned Toads vs. Firebaugh Eagles

Coalinga is 10-0 against Firebaugh since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Coalinga Horned Toads will be playing in front of their home fans against the Firebaugh Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Coalinga beat Mendota 40-34.

It was another big night for Jozlynn Marshall, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. Devany Garcia was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.

In what's become a running theme this season, Firebaugh gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Avenal 56-12 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Firebaugh has posted yet this season.

Coalinga's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Firebaugh, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
