Basketball Game Recap: Placer Hillmen vs. Oakmont Vikings

The Placer Hillmen were the 55-31 winner over the Oakmont Vikings when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Placer fell just short of Oakmont by a score of 45-43. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Placer came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while Oakmont is ranked 788th).

Sophia Bodnar had an outrageously good game for Oakmont as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bodnar has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Nelson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.

Placer's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Oakmont, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-16.

Placer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakmont also has no future games currently scheduled.
