Basketball Recap: Penn-Trafford Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Penn-Trafford and Middletown squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Penn-Trafford had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Middletown Blue Raiders by a score of 52-50. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 72nd).

Despite the loss, Penn-Trafford still got an impressive performance from Torrie Destefano, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Destefano has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Pieper, who posted nine points and four blocks.

Penn-Trafford's defeat dropped their record down to 25-2. As for Middletown, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.

As of now, neither Penn-Trafford nor Middletown have any future games scheduled.
